Hi! As you can probably gather by the name of the website, I’m Nic McGrue. I’ve taken twists and turns in this path called life to get where I am, but all in all, I’m very happy with where my journey has taken me so far.
I’m originally from Tacoma, Washington. I attended the University of Washington for my undergraduate degree (Go Dawgs!) After UW, I moved to Southern California and obtained my Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. Shortly after law school, I started my own law firm, Polymath Legal, where I focus on business and real estate transactions.
In addition to my law practice, I also am the co-creator of a novelty pillow. Through working on this project, I learned how to take a product from the concept stage to working prototypes in 3 months, to mass production for sale in 6 months, and to gaining national public relations and media exposure in outlets such as G4Tv Network, TruTv Network, the Today Show, Maxim Magazine, and radio stations throughout the world–all within 9 months of the idea’s conception.
I have always had a very inquisitive mind. By working on numerous projects in my younger years, and coupling that with my business and legal education, I have learned how to be resourceful and find creative ways to execute the tasks and goals that businesses need. When it comes to business or new ideas, I never hear “No that won’t work.” Instead, I hear “What do we need to change to make this work?” If you have an idea, I can usually make it happen. Executing ideas is what I enjoy and what I’m good at.
Business is what I love and entrepreneurship is my passion. When not working on business or law, you can find me playing my saxophone, running, learning more about web design, goofing around in GarageBand, hiking, reading Malcolm Gladwell, cheering on my UW Husky Football Team, or working on the next venture.
